Our global construction client has a fantastic opportunity for x3 Construction Managers to work across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Site Managers / Project Engineers to ensure that all work undertaken satisfies all required safety and technical policies and procedures.
  • Plan the work and oversee the requirements for necessary materials, plant and equipment.
  • Oversee the requirements for resource and then manage staff for the project.
  • Manage the construction site(s) on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour. force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out according to NRSWA and be responsible for effective liaison and collaboration with Highways Authorities, Local Authorities and other Utilities providers etc.
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress.
  • Check design documents.
  • Responsible for a working environment which ensures the achievement of all safety and environment legislation, engineering and customer standards.
  • You will need to be able to Plan, manage and deliver site activities and to support Project team to deliver the construction works.
  • Safely and sustainably deliver the construction works to programme, cost and quality.
  • Ensure the sufficiency of people & systems to deliver the construction activity.
  • Support and develop an environment where the construction team can thrive and succeed.
  • Ensure effective management of client and stakeholders.
  • Review, monitor and improve construction performance.
  • Provides management, leadership and inspires a multi-disciplinary team to achieve a common goal.
  • To determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints; time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefit.

Requirements:

  • Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery.
  • Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts.
  • Proficient in commercial/project management communications.
  • Experience in implementing safe systems of work.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the
    organisation.
  • Effective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire others
    to build effective teams. Providing mentoring and support to members of the
    team where required.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Able to undertake work in high pressure situations.
  • Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics.
  • Record of a solution-based approach to problem solving.
  • Communicate and check understanding of daily briefings.
  • Communicate new concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical
    stakeholders.
