Our client is a leading AI-driven organization seeking an experienced AI Engineering professional to elevate their tech team and lead the engineering strategy.
About the role
As a Principal AI Engineer, you will lead a high-performing team of engineers, fostering an environment that encourages innovation and accountability. Your role will involve overseeing the entire engineering lifecycle, from initial concept through to implementation and maintenance of scalable systems. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to define technical requirements, ensuring seamless integration across systems. A key part of your role will be optimizing data pipelines and overseeing the integration of machine learning models into production systems. You will also develop clear and effective data visualizations and reports for stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of engineers.
- Develop and execute the data and AI engineering strategy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define technical requirements.
- Optimize data pipelines and oversee the integration of machine learning models into production systems.
- Develop clear and effective data visualizations and reports for stakeholders.
- Design and optimize data warehouses and cloud platforms.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of data systems.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering roles and in AI engineering roles.
- Extensive experience using NLP & AI/ML for Sentiment Analysis, Consumer Intelligence, Predictive Analysis etc.
- Strong expertise with data scraping pipelines, APIs and tools such as Beautiful Soup, Selenium etc.
- Strong expertise with data migration and database concepts e.g., ORM, Foreign Keys, Error Handling etc.
- Expert & hands-on experience in programming languages such as Python, SQL along with Jupyter Notebook, Streamlit
- Proven experience managing data warehouse solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
